PHYSICS OF FUSION

Overview

Nuclear Fusion refers to a nuclear reaction where atomic nuclei are combined (hence “fusion”) to result in different nuclei, often accompanied by a release of energy when using lighter nuclei. This occurs in nature, and is the reason for our sun shining and for the synthesis of some of the elements.

The content of this website focuses on enabling humans to harness exothermic nuclear fusion reactions on earth for energy generation. Please refer to the website layout on the home page (accessible by clicking the logo on the top left) for understanding how the information is structured. Please use the table of contents and the navigation bars below to browse through content. The "Previous" and "Next" navigates through topics at the same level of hierarchy (skips over detailed sub-sections), while "Up" allows to navigate up the hierarchy. Additionally, web-pages are categorised below based on the topics they cover.
